This product is rectangular spacers made of transparent plastic, which are provided with an adhesive on one side. They are perfect for our Frames to create a distance between glass and their picture / object.
Properties:
- transparent
- width: 4mm (adhesive side)
- height: 1,5 mm
The spacers are supplied as whole rods with a length of approx. 152 cm.
Notes on application
- Only conditionally suitable for profile 116, as the spacer is easily visible in this Strip.
- Not suitable for use with our acrylic glass UV100 "glare-free", because your picture / object must be directly behind the acrylic glass UV 100 glare-free. If there is a distance between acrylic glass UV 100 glare-free and the object (even a few millimeters are sufficient, e.g. due to the spacers or a passe-partout), this can lead to distortions or color changes of the object.
- The spacers can be easily cut, e.g. with strong scissors.
- Please clean the glass thoroughly before gluing on the spacers so that the full adhesive strength is achieved. Press the spacer firmly when attaching it.
- Please note that the height of the spacer influences the required filling height of the picture frame profile.
Withdrawal
- The return of spacer is only possible in a perfect condition.
- If an order is cancelled, the costs for the return shipment are to be borne by the buyer.
Further information on the return can be found in our General Terms and Conditions.
With the spacer for picture frames you can create your own spacer frame in our profiles 116, 102 and 107 with the depth you want.
Notes:
- Only conditionally suitable for frames in profile 116, because the spacer is slightly visible in this bar.
- Please note that the height of the spacer affects the required fill height of the picture frame profile.
Application:
In the first step, take the measurement of the glass and cut the spacer to the required length, e.g. with strong scissors or a cutter.
We recommend you to use the spacer all around!
In the second step, clean the glass thoroughly. Pull the protective strips from the adhesive surface and stick the spacers onto the glass. Press the spacers firmly. Please make sure that the spacers are attached to the edge of the glass with a perfect fit and that they rest completely on the glass. If they protrude, complete adhesive adhesion and stability will not be achieved.
You can also glue several strips of the cut spacers on top of each other to get more depth. However, here you need to consider the actual frame depth in order to still be able to attach the back panel and the press-on springs.
In the last step, you can equip the picture frame as desired with your work, attach the back wall and hang their frame.
